Someday, Somewhere, Sometime
In a far off land, when we are old and gray
Or another lifetime, we’ll meet again,
Perhaps we’ll have a feeling of familiarity?
Maybe it will be a pleasant visit
Or just a casual meeting
That goes no further than that moment in time
And again we’ll walk away.
Perchance we’ll remember each other kindly
And smile a bit when we part
Without animosity or distrust,
Still knowing that it is goodbye.
And we’ll walk away, with joy and love
Forever grateful for the days gone by,
Those days of laughter and comradery,
The days from long ago.
Still, our lives will go on, filled with joy
Of the times that are long gone
The ones that are still to come
Someday, Somewhere, Sometime.
